In 1998, Lancaster County in conjunction with the City of Lincoln and United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County, retained Hanna:Keelan Associates to conduct a needs assessment and comprehensive plan to guide delivery of human services in the county. The assessment was completed and the Lincoln/Lancaster County Human Services Comprehensive Plan was approved by the community in February 1999. |

Lancaster County is home to more than 260,000 people. Over 235,000 (94.4%) of these people live in Lincoln, the Lancaster County seat and Nebraska’s capital. Lancaster County is a great place to live. It offers a high quality of life that is difficult to match. The community offers great jobs and schools, excellent access to recreation, art and entertainment, and a connection to all levels of government in our state. |
